Villa A, Contemporary Home with Amazing Views

Finished by Najjar & Najjar, the house is beautifully designed above a slope of the Poestling Berg. What makes this spot special is the view that is offered. From this height we could enjoy the Linz city that is a capital of Upper Austria. The Villa A is mostly covered with large glass panels, so from almost all rooms we could enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the city. Besides breathtaking view, the house is also completed with a large outdoor pool. This place is a perfect spot for enjoying the evening or sunbathing in the sunny afternoon. The house is divided into several rooms, like living room with open floor plan, bedrooms in the upper level that is linked by stairs, basement floor that is used for a private gym, wellness facilities, office and playroom for the kids. On the north side of the building is built for a parking garage with machine room. [Photos by: Manfred Seidl]

Beautiful Weekend Retreat, Casa Martins Siquiera

We’ve covered the house design from Frederico Zanelato several times ago and now we love to show another lovely design from this Brazil-based architect. The Casa Martins Siquiera is designed for a weekend retreat for the architect and family. Located near Sao Paulo, the house is built in modern style to maximize the views of the Serra do Japi but minimize the sun impact. The front area is almost fully closed to the outdoor to maintain privacy but the backyard is wide opened to the private pool. The living area is created with single floor plan that is used for living/dining room and kitchen. There are also four beds inside this house that is located on the left of the hallway. The services area and private office are situated to the right of the hallway. Besides beautiful swimming pool and spacious terrace, the house is also equipped with small courtyard to allow morning sunlight slip away to the rooms.

Nature is an endless resource for creative ideas that can be presented in furniture or even building design. Finished by Chicago-based architecture firm Studio Gang Architects, the Aqua Tower is totally amazing building. Situated in Chicago, this skyscraper is inspired by the eroded rocks of SAA Great Lakes. This contemporary architecture is very eye catching with sophisticated exterior design. Each levels of the building are completed with small balcony, providing amazing view of the skyline of Chicago. The architects could present a modern yet unusual design of building into a wonderful work of art. Enjoy the images below and tell us what you think about this awesome urban architecture.
