Contemporary Dark Walnut Bathroom Furniture by Toto

Contemporary Dark Walnut Bathroom Furniture by Toto

Bathroom brand Toto is bringing nature back to the bathroom with its latest release, the NC Series bathroom furniture. Made of warm, natural-finish dark walnut, these coordinating counters and cabinets welcome the wood’s grain and feature gently rounded edges for a softer appearance. They look great when combined with the cool, contemporary materials characteristic of today’s bathrooms – marble, chrome and glass. The contrast only deepens the organic appeal of these pieces, which also incorporate storage for all your lotions and potions. If you love the shape but prefer a more contemporary look, these counters and cabinets are also available in a glossy-white finish. To learn more about the NS Series furniture, visit Toto

Three Great Print Ads That Use Famous Buildings

I know that here on Freshome we focus mostly on interior design, furniture and architecture, but from time to time I find some stuff that are really cool and I just want to post them. One of these things that I’ve found today and is a little bit related to what I usually post here on Freshome is this print campaign produced by Publicis for Renault. The ads are really well done, combining photography with some mad Photoshop retouching skills. The editorial is simple and to the point on all of the ads. “Get There Faster.” which punctuates the visuals created by the cities represented as sand inside each hour-glass. Designed by Publicis,  the German agency, Renault’s new campaign was created by Christian Kuzman and creative directors are Stephan Ganser, Volker Schrader, Konstantinos Manika. – Via

Lapigra, a Deliberately Messy Chair with a Comfortable Feel

Monica Graffeo designed these unusual chair for Zilio A & C,  a company with over 60 years of experience. We absolutely loved Monica’s description of her project, the “Lapigra” chair, so here is a part of her review: “It ‘s an object created to be messy and unseemly, not pulled, not perfect, but full of folds. The look is deliberately a bit ‘scruffy and casual as the atmosphere of a very lazy Sunday morning …” The chair is indeed unusual and informal, but we think this is what contributes to its charm. As the designer stated, this is not a design meant to impress someone with its spotless look, but a more personalized one, a chill out chair if you will. The chair’s strongest point is its very well defined personality and we sure love designs that make a statement.-via Decoesfera

Tranquil Scandinavian Style Interiors

When many think of Scandinavian style, they immediately think stark, white, modern and even unlivable. But thankfully Scandinavian style has emerged from bare beginnings to a much more livable arrangement. With white working as a color platform, many stylish homeowners have added black for a bold modern edge and hints of color that make their use seem bold and almost edgy. While still maintaining a basically blank slate, the new Scandinavian style seems focused on livability, whether it is in cluttering up streamlined shelving units, or rumpling a bed in an otherwise spotless room. Unusual accent pieces also make frequent appearances, from mistletoe-like ceiling hangings to excessively fluffy and fuzzy throw rugs. Sometimes only a single spec of color can be seen in a room, from a fusia toned bedspread or a softly muted sofa pillow. All photographed by Per Gunnarsson, the images below show how livable a modern Scandinavian-style living space can be.

Twitter Is Growing And So Is Its Office

We have covered Twitter offices not once, but twice before on HD. But given the rate at which the company is adding on employees it was just a matter of time before they outgrew their new base at San Francisco. To combat the space crunch, Twitter has decided to add on more area by taking over the second floor of the building they currently occupy. Those already familiar with the interior images of the first floor which we posted before will have no trouble relating with the new space as the style seems to be consistent with the office below.

Here are some fresh snaps of the second floor.
